In a single hour, I saw videos of three separate remarkable technologies.
Each of them was something I had never previously heard or even thought about.
For each of them, I immediately thought of potential investors, open grants, early adopters, or writers that might be of use to them.
But none of the postings contained a link to the journal article, inventor, or institution.
It’s frustrating when I can’t easily be helpful.
I wonder about the posters. Do they believe these are world-improving technologies but don’t think that it’s worth the extra moment? Do they have no idea about the value of the technologies and simply like the eye candy? As usual, I am confused. I get that confused easily.
In the unlikely event that you are one of those people, can you explain why something is valuable enough to bring to my attention but not valuable enough for me to want to do something with the information?
The effort ratio of idea to execution is small, so many stop at the idea. However, it is in our nature to want to enshrine that “I also thought of that”.
Could well be.
Sad if true.
Ah, yes, adding the references would greatly increase the credibility of these companies. Thanks for sharing your insights as always Russell!
More than just credibility, but also usability.
