Each of us has issues that we care about.
For me, one of the big ones is reducing loneliness. Count it in my three life quests.
So when Gallup reported a drastic reduction in loneliness, I was overjoyed and wanted to share the good news.
We still have a long way to go.
Among the most effective ways to feel less lonely is to mentor people. Over the years, I’ve been a volunteer mentor in several programs and have been mentoring informally for even longer. It’s added a lot to my life, and I encourage others (starting with you), whether you are lonely or not, to try adding it yourself.
A single hour a week can add a lot to your well-being and do wonders for your mentees.
