In case you missed it, Sebastian Heyneman, vibe coded a protoype. It was mistaken for being a bomb and since no understanding of the code that the AI had built for him, he could not explain it or answer questions about it. After various complexities, some more amusing than others he was eventually released.
The Science Fiction Stories:
Let’s leave reality aside and think about the science fictions stories this might inspire or become.
Story One: The AI has really made a bomb, but Sebastian didn’t know it.
Story Two: It was ransomware / blackmail-malware rather than a bomb and the AI had accidentally left out the “they paid the ransom” button.
Story Three: Purposely left out the button as part of its plan to extort the world.
Story Four: Collected the ransom but diverted it to a charity.
Story Five: It was self-modifying code in such a way that ever expert reviewing thought it did something different.
