Is AI ruining LinkedIn?

I’ve recently had some disconcerting experiences with and about LinkedIn and AI.

The first is that I’ve done everything I can find to turn off AI on my LinkedIn profile, and still, my new email threads are starting with suggestions of “it’s been so long since I’ve seen you” when writing to people I’ve never met or heard of.

Does anyone know how I can stop it from doing this?

The second is Chrome extensions. I did a search for Chrome extensions in hopes of finding something that would give me a larger message-writing box. (Right now, I have to copy the messages I receive into an editor window to be able to read them and then copy my response back from an editor window to reply.)

I didn’t find anything like that.

I instead found many Chrome extensions designed to let me bypass LinkedIn quantity limits, easily send out massive amounts of junk email and connection requests to strangers, and use AI to generate “content.” Some to find email addresses, phone numbers, org charts, etc.

But the first extension I saw would automatically generate a comment each day on 150 postings that I haven’t read by people that I didn’t know. It went downhill from there.

I need a “protect me from AI-generated junk content” extension for LinkedIn.

Would anyone like to help me build one?

Would it violate the TOS if we did?

Since the junk-creation extensions take pride in violating the TOS, if our countermeasure also does so, should we let that slow us down at all?

His first project saved The American taxpayer 250 million dollars. In his work within federal agency, he was often called, “the arbiter of truth,” facilitating historically hostile groups and factions to effectively work together towards common goals
