I got an email that seemed to be coming from someone’s (human) personal assistant.
The message was “dumb” in such ways that it would have never occurred to me that it wasn’t composed by a human.
I sent a reply to try to help that human to be less “dumb” in the future.
Turns out it wasn’t a human.
It was a bot. A bot created by a “dumb” human.
And subscribed to by a real human.
He didn’t know that when I replied to the original email I would get a reply from the bot asking me to subscribe to their service.
Should I count him as dangerously careless that he didn’t test before he was using for business email?
Or was the original assessment was already sufficiently negative?
