Among the most effective ways to have a happier, healthier, more fulfilling life is by practicing kindness and feeling gratitude.

Thanksgiving is not only the time to feel and express gratitude, but the time to remind us that we can do that every day; perhaps every hour of every day.

Today I’d like to express my gratitude to the folks who’ve helped make this blog possible.

The folks at WordPress and the phenomenal supportive community around it that has built the infinity of plugins that make this blog run.

My business partner Chris Foltz not only inspired me to start this blog but insulates me from the need to know even the names of those plugins and the other tools that I rely upon.

Founder Institute directly or indirectly provides most of my writing topics and brings many of the best moments to most of the days of my life.

And most of all to you, my readers, you are worth waking up for at 3 am on so many star-filled nights.

Russell has started three successful companies, one of which helped agencies of the federal government become very early adopters of open source software, long before that term was coined. His first project saved The American taxpayer 250 million dollars. In his work within federal agency, he was often called, “the arbiter of truth,” facilitating historically hostile groups and factions to effectively work together towards common goals
