Gratitude for Text

I was trying to read a scientific article on a web page.

The page had 7x as much space devoted to advertising. Color. Ugly. Animated. Distracting. Annoying.

Fortunately, just prior to screaming, I remembered Text Mode by Omar Rodríguez-Rodríguez.

Omar built it almost a decade ago and distributes it for free. It’s still making my life better and easier.

So my thanks and today’s baby animal picture go out to Omar.
