Submarines in your Tummy

Endiatx makes a swallowable submarine. It is a substitute for an endoscope so that rather than going into the hospital for a long unpleasant day to have a doctor look at your insides, you can pop a vitamin-size “pill cam.”

Unlike previous pill cams, the doctors can control the Endiatx so he can see what he needs to see. Traditional pill cams just “go with the flow,” and don’t always go where they are needed.

Torrey Smith just posted a great explainer video about it.

Torrey also started a whole thread on LinkedIn where people are posting their favorite explainer videos.

Avoiding a hospital trip. Avoiding anesthesia. Avoiding risk and expense. Sounds like #SuckageReduction big-time to me.

Russell has started three successful companies, one of which helped agencies of the federal government become very early adopters of open source software, long before that term was coined. His first project saved The American taxpayer 250 million dollars. In his work within federal agency, he was often called, “the arbiter of truth,” facilitating historically hostile groups and factions to effectively work together towards common goals
