Pitch Deck 🔥 Presentation Tips

When a founder or any other presenter relies too much on their slides, they are vulnerable to small technical glitches destroying their presentation.

Once, about 10 years, my group was giving a presentation where something went wrong with the slides. We lost 4 of our allocated 12 minutes fixing that. The organizers were sticking to the schedule, so when we tried to give our original 12-minute talk, we got pulled off stage 8 minutes into and we looked like idiots.

(I can tell we looked like idiots as I have a great deal of experience in looking like an idiot.)

Before seeing this talk, I never once considered the possibility that we might have handled it better.

I just blamed them for being unreasonable.

If only I had seen this talk 11 years earlier.
