I am Grateful to Mentors

I am one of 25,000 mentors at Founder Institute.

There are many thousands of other mentors helping at other startups and educational programs throughout the world.

Beyond that, there are countless people who act as mentors without there being any formal program or title.

These mentors enable successful companies, successful projects, successful careers, and successful lives.

While the typical mentor works with only a few or even a single mentee, their impact is large and cumulatively world-changing.

I wonder how many of that products and services I use each day only exist because of the mentorship of someone who brought that offering into reality.

I know that I will never know.

Today’s gratitude and the baby animal picture go out to the mentors of the world. They are the unsung heroes of advancement for our world.

Written by Russell Brand

Russell has started three successful companies, one of which helped agencies of the federal government become very early adopters of open source software, long before that term was coined. His first project saved The American taxpayer 250 million dollars. In his work within federal agency, he was often called, “the arbiter of truth,” facilitating historically hostile groups and factions to effectively work together towards common goals
